Description of the Netherworld Tower
The Netherworld Tower is an enormous citadel like structure built from a stalactite. As such, the tower is inverted, meaning that it hangs upside down. (No, there is no defying gravity) The structure's walkways are reverse, meaning that the tower can still be walked throughout, but it's backwards from what it would be if the tower was right side up.
The stalactite that the Tower is built from hangs from the ceiling of an enormous cavern, flowing with lava, underneath Frostdeath. The temperatures from the ice above and the lava below seem to balance perfectly at the Tower, meaning that it’s never too hot nor too cold. If one desires to be a cooler, they would go to the top of the tower closer to the ice, whereas if one wanted to be warmer, they would go to the bottom, closer to the lava.
Xan took a full year to design this place, figuring out the mechanics needed for such a massive undertaking. Then he spent a week doing constant transmutations to the stalactite to actually bring his idea to fruition. The Tower has a throne room, located at the bottom, (again, inverted) right underneath the tip. The stairways behind the throne room lead to the private quarters. There are other rooms located in the Tower as well, though those will have to be seen in time......
The primary function of the Netherworld Tower is as the base of operations for the Illuminati.
