"What a coincidence, so am I. Of course, I look seventeen." Yuan said with a shake of his head, focing the cheshire grin off his face.

[Alaric]

"Well I'm nearly 15, so I'm the youngest! I am the youngest Colonel ever listed, of course." Alexander cockily bragged with a grin to his two companions, before adding "Aren't I awesome or what?"

[Yuan Yao/ Greed]

Jun chattered something. "Don't encourage him." Yuan said.

[Alaric]

"Thanks Jun, you rule!" Alexander said with a grin, presuming by Yuan's reaction the rat had agreed with him, before he turned and pokes his tongue at the other colonel, "See, I am awesome."

Tobi chuckled. "Oh, yeah, the murderous rat agrees with you! It must be true then!"

[Yuan Yao/ Greed]

Jun squeaked something else, glaring viciously at Tobi. "Jun, manners." yuan rolled his eyes, feeling a sudden urge to whack the rat.

Tobi stuck his tongue out childishly at the rat. "Insult me all you want, Jun. I don't care. If you want it to hurt, I have to understand you. And I don't speak rat." With a quick glance toward Yuan he added thoughtfully, "Or crazy."

"I'm not crazy! If your only friend from the age of twelve is a rat, you learn to cummunicate!" he fumed, a scowl on his face, looking like he'd take great pleasure in drawing his sword and stabbing Tobi.

"Please do." Al said in a bored tone, reading the other homunculus' expression before seeming to pull a manga novel out of nowhere -it was actually hooked under the back of his skort, but he got it quick enough to make it seem it just poofed out of nowhere- and sat down calmly, used to the heat.
He sighed and before to examine the cover with a straight face. He couldn't believe his parents had done that, releasing Ed's life, he meant. I mean, even if Fullmetal did die in the eastern war when he was 22, it was still respectful of his predecessors to NOT spill his secrets to the world. Great Grandpa Al wouldn't like that at all.
Thus, he groaned as he stared at the cartoon version of his great uncle on the cover of the first fullmetal alchemist manga novel and sneered. His parents were disrespectful indeed, but he still loved them.

Tobi shrugged it off. He knew he was being a complete asshole, but he didn't care. Sighing, he sat down in the sand again, writting things with his finger and then scribbling them out. "Mea culpa," He muttered under his breath, "Mea maxima culpa."

[Yuan Yao/ Greed]

Yuan peered down in boredom at what tobi wrote. "Not the best handwriting." he muttered softly, before relaizing he spoke out loud. /Crap./ he thought. Who was he to criticize others handwriting? His was hardly nice, you just couldn't tell ebcause to most Amestrians, Xingese symbols looked more like delicate drawings as opposed to letters and words.

[Alaric]

Alexander look up from the small novel and noticed Tobi muttering to himself and writing weird things on the ground. Just to be a jerk he decided to write in neat letters above what Tobi wrote that said very clearly 'Grow a brain.' before smirking at Yuan's comment.
"Yes Colonel, you have /very/ nice handwriting." Alexander may have been being sarcastic, but thanks t the deep voice he decided to put on, it sounded slightly husky and wait... was that a feminine undertone.
'SHIT!' He growled at himself. THIS WAS WHY HE NEVER USED A DEEP VOICE!!

[Yuan Yao/ Greed]

"Raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses, it's sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses." Yuan sang softly under his breath, pacing back and forth across the sand, a blank expression on his face as he thought. he had heard the song he was so softly singing somewhere, but he couldn't remember where. he ahd always liked the particular part of the song he hummed/softly sang now. He liked how it meant that even if something looks pretty, it's not real and it's all just a bunch of bad things.

Tobi was silent as the two critisized his handwritting. True, he was normally a very proud person and would have definatly gotten mad on another occasion, (He thought he had excellent handwritting)But he was feeling a bit down all the sudden. He wasn't even sure why, so he felt a bit stupid, but her felt down all the same.

[Alaric]

Blinking confusion from Tobi's lack of covering his wounded pride, Al turned to the other colonel with a worried look and shook his shoulder lightly.
"Hey, you ok there, Tobi?"
Even he was aloud to show a bit of sympathy SOMETIMES

Yuan turned to look at Alex, mock suprise on his face. Jun squeaked loudly. "Hush!" Yuan hissed. "Don't encourage him to be mean." yuan was speaking softly, hopeing Alex couldn't hear him.

[Alaric]

"Tobi?"

Tobi sighed. "I'm fine," He said. Then, trying to make an attempt to prove it, he said, "Glad you're worried about me, Toeblade."

[Alaric]

"Ugh..." Alexander said with a roll of his eyes as he sat down next to the other Colonel and ran the gloved hand through his hair, effectively pulling it from it's confinement and letting it drop, showing by the length of the layers that it had grown about half an inch since the last time they met.
"I'm no counselor or anything, but tell me, what's bugging you? From the time I've known you, you do not act like a semi-decent guy unless you're depressed, cus when you're happy you're just a pompous jerk. So spill, what's got you so riled?"

[Yuan Yao/ Greed]

Jun squeaked loudly and leapt down from Yuan's shoulder, scampering over to alex and mustering the closest thing to a look of a concern that a rat possibly can. "Jerk." Yuan rolled his eyes and let himself flop down in the sand, watching the two military men.

[Alaric]

Alexander looked over to where he heard Jun squeak and saw the rat trying to look concerned as it sat next to his hand, so he smiled back at her and very lightly patted her on the head -automail isn't something nice to be touched by- before placing the palm of his hand in front of her, fr her to climb on his shoulder again if she wanted to.
"See, even Jun-chan is slightly concerned, though she's probably more concerned to why I would care than actually to why you're depressed, but I'll let Yuan translate her reply for us."

Tobi just shook his head. "I'm tellin' you, Al, I'm fine," He said, stretching and lying back in the sand so that he was now on his back.

Jun scampered quickly up to Alex's shoulder, her thin tail twitching as she squeaked. "Jun says you smell like sadness or depression." Yuan said in a bored tone. Jun squeaked something else. "And she says that she should know, she remembers the smell from when her mom died in a trap." he once more translated as he twiddled his thumbs, staring down at his hands with minor concentration.
