Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri grinned at Tobi with a playful and cunning intent. She didn't respond and simply began walking away from him. It was fun to play games with Tobi.

"Hey, you can't just walk away while I'm talking to you!" Tobi called, walking quickly after her. "Kiri!"

Kiri giggled and waved "Come on Slow poke!" She teased waving, then stopped. The librarian had glared at her, however she was of course only about a foot in front of Tobi, barely enough room for him to stop.

Seeing she had stopped, Tobi skidded to a stop as well, but ended up running into Kiri in the process.

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri flailed slightly and tumbled to her knees, clenching tight onto Tobi's jacket. She looked like a roller-blader who had lost her balance, the sudden shock, giving her the look of panic on her face.

Tobi stumbled, but managed to keep his balance barely. Wide-eyed, he looked down at Kiri. "...Are you okay?"

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri struggled back to her feet, blushing furiously. Stubbornly, she dusted off her uniform, "I'm fine."

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Tobi wrinkled his forehead and looked down at his feet. "Good. Glad I didn't completely plow over you there." He chuckled, trying to end the slight awkwardness.

Kiri grinned and stood to her feet, deciding to resist the play on words she could say. Instead she shook her head and laughed, "Yes with all that weight I would have died."

Kiri pretended to look hurt, "Why I never! I never said you were fat, Colonel." Shge giggled indiscreetly and pretended to bash her eyelashes and shoved him back. "I think you look.. perfectly fine." She smiled, deciding to compliment the boy for once.

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Tobi blinked, not expecting the compliment. "Really?" He asked, sounding interested.

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri blinked and didn't comment, she simply kept walking. Complimenting Tobi.. what was she thinking exactly?

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Tobi walked after her. Having not gotten an answer to the rhetorical question, he wasn't sure what to say next. "I know you probably don't care what I say, Major, and you have all rights to slap me, but you look...perfectly fine yourself."

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri blinked and looked utterly confused, "I look fine? Are you stating that for one instant I looked sick?" She was playing oblivious.

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
"No!" Tobi said, shaking his head, "I just..I think...you...you're....you look nice today is what I was saying. Like..." He looked down not sure how to say it in a way she couldn't take the wrong way. "Like, you look pretty."

Kiri grinned, "Oh? Why thank you, I like to think I wear this uniform as well as the other military women."

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Tobi sighed. Couldn't he compliment her and not feel like an idiot? "Your welcome," He said, not sure what else there was to say.

Kiri smiled at him, "Aww not nearly as persistent as your grandfather it seems." She teased and stopped turning to him. Then she suddenly looked at him with soft eyes, "Look I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.."

"You talk as if you knew Roy personally," Tobi said with a chuckle. He blinked, surprised at the apology. "Kiri, you didn't really hurt my feelings... well, maybe a little, but you don't need to apologize."

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri laughed "Well my Grandmother talked about him all the time.. Anytime something went wrong she'd complain it was Roy's fault." She paused with a thoughtful glance. "Not sure why... but mostly she said he was a 'stupid, arrogant, persistent flirt." Finally done rambling she rubbed the back of her head, "Sorry I can be cold.."

Tobi laughed. "I only met him once or twice, but it describes him. Hell, he used to call my house and flirt with my mom before she died." He shook his head. "Don't worry, Kiri, I understand. No need to apologize, really."

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri nodded and rubbed her arms insecurely. "Uhmm thanks.." She didn't know what else to say.. most guys left by now... It was weird to have this long of a conversation.

"If you really feel guilty about it though..." He paused, "No, I couldn't ask you to do that. It's too much."

Re: Studying, sort of. (Open)
Kiri's interest was peeked, "I could what, go on spit it out."
