Envy let out a cracked grin with furrowed brows, before pulling out the amulet and flipping open the locket, to reveal a hologram of Pride, giving him one of those looks he had when he mentioned that gross bacon crap he eats.
"Is that all you ever eat, P- Darky? I swear, you're going to die someday of an unbalanced diet..." Envy said with a shake of his head, before turning the hologram to Katie, "This is my new subordinate, Katie, and before you ask, it's a negative."
That was basically him saying 'she doesn't know we're homunculi, act human'

"I've seen you around Central, Katie. Hi, I'm Colonel Invidia, but please, call me Dark." He smiled and waved, knowing what Envy had meant. "And bacon is good for you, if you don't fry it and everything to make it fattening! Besides, it's nt for me. I'm throwing an office party tomorrow, and me and Ilona are preparing for it."

Katie was...well, surprised and amazed. She's never seen something like this before.
"Uh, hi Colonel Invi--Dark...I think I've seen you around Central, too. Nice to finally get to meet you." She greeted back to the hologram.
She now started wondering what 'it's a negative' meant. She started thinking that there was something huge that was being hidden. But maybe they didn't want her to figure it out.

"Well, I was new here and I wanted to throw a party to celebrate myself. Hehe. And you probably just Envy me for my cooking skills. I don't always burn it, you know." He smirked as he talked. "Well, anyways see you guys later." He did a little half-salute before the hologram cut off.

Katie seemed confused. She couldn't understand why they put emphasis on the words "Pride" and "Envy". She was sure it meant something. But what did the seven deadly sins have to do with anything?
She wished she could figure this out! She hated it when those types of thoughts were stuck in her head nagging at her. So she decided to ask.
"Hey, what was with the emphasis on the words 'Envy' and 'Pride'?"

"Hm?" Al asked as he let the amulet drop to his chest gently, before smiling brightly at the woman, "It's just a taunt we use, since he takes too much pride in his burnt bacon and other things, plus I am I tinge envious of a lot of things, so we kind of started this 'taunt the strongest sin' thing. For example, I envy alchemists because they can do alchemy, but I can't do it anymore after an unfortunate run-in with someone I hoped not to face again, and he is too prideful about himself, his -terrible- cooking and just his stuff in general, thus we taunt his pride. See what I mean?"
Oh yes, envy was a compulsive liar and he knew it, but oh well. He didn't care much anymore if someone found out his species, the level 2's influence gave him the ability to not care about that kind of trivial thing. it was just up to Katie to connect the dots, if she's aware of what homunculi are.

"I see..." Katie stated, after thinking for a moment. She still wasn't sure if he was lying or not. The main reason why she asked was because she's heard of it somewhere before (besides just the normal seven deadly sins)...
Where had she heard it?
Maybe somewhere from her great-grandparents or her grandparents?
She couldn't think of it at the moment, but she had her finger on it.
"So, what should we do now?"

"Mm, okay." Katie nodded. She hopped off of Al's bed and walked to the bathroom.
Once she was in there, she shut the door and locked it. Since she was still suspicious, she thought she would quietly unlock it, and open the door, to see if anything seemed...suspicious or something of the sort.

She knew she would be intruding, but she didn't really care, as long as she could figure out what she needed to figure out.

"Ah..." Envy said with a sigh, as he stood up and walked to the TV, taking the disk out of it as th white light engulfed him, changing his casual clothes into deep green PJs.
He then put the movie back in the case and set it on the counter before taking a small can of soda from the fridge and opened it, drinking it calmly. Ever sicne that transmutation he had to bow to human needs, and since he pulled an all-nighter yesterday, he'd have to do it now.

Katie blushed, secretly spying on Al. So far, she hadn't seen anything suspicious or strange. Although...she thought she saw something on him, a type of symbol that looked familiar...
She shrugged, letting it go. She decided she really did need a shower.
She started the water, undressed, and got it, letting the water wash away any problems she had for the day. Her mind was still on the symbol she noticed. Although blushing, she really thought hard about where she's seen it before...

Katie quickly finished up, changed into her night-clothes, and got out to sit next to Al.
"Sorry to pester you," She said after a couple minutes. "But...are you sure you aren't hiding anything?" She asked, a little nervously. She hated asking people a lot of questions, and bothering them a lot.

Al smirked a dark smirk before turning to her with a bright grin again, though this time his eyes were a stunning violet.
"I forgot to tell you I wear contacts to bed, because they're comfortable!" Al said with a grin, before chuckling, "And don't worry, we all have secrets, even that bacon-loving idiot that called me through the amulet..."

Katie sighed. He's still lying to her. Violet eyes, strange symbol...
She was piecing it together in her mind. She thought a little longer before realizing--
No! That couldn't be it. There was no way...but there was no other explaination.

"Al...Tell me..." She began, looking at the floor. "Are you a homunculus...?" She asked quietly, but loud enough for Al to hear.

"I read about it somewhere, and I asked my parents. They told me more about them. They said that they're grandparents--my great-grandparents--actually faced off with at least seven of them all together when they were around my age...and the Ouboros didn't help you hide the fact much." Katie explained, finally remembering what she was told, not to mention the name of the symbol she saw earlier.

"So, tell me, are you? Tell me now--before I go and really figure it out for myself."

"I... hai..." He finally said, before nodding, "Yes, I am, but don't worry, I'm not in for world domination or anything so stupid, I just want to live an ordinary human life."
He then grinned as he shifted into his form of the homunculus.
"Besides, the shape-shifting is a bonus. I was named Envy, but don't worry, I still go by Al." He said with wide grin, sharp teeth showing in the expression, "Now that my secret's out... well, yeah."
He then materialised a small pencil and began nibbling on the end.
"Now that that barrier's crossed, is there anything else you wanna know? I don't eat people before you ask."

Katie wasn't that shocked, really, since she already figured it out.
She smiled, happy that he admitted the truth.
"There's nothing I really want to know, actually." She replied, before sinking back a little more into the couch.
"I'm just happy you finally admitted. And don't worry, I promise not to tell anyone."

Katie never really was enemies with anyone, but she'd probably never get a chance like this again.

"Well...there isn't really anyone I have in mind." She felt dissapointed in herself that she couldn't think of anyone.

"When I'm bored, yeah... Besides, when I cosplay, it makes it a hell'a lot more believable AND I don't need to blow my money on outfits I can just shift into!" He said with a grin, before shape shifting into an exact replica of Katie herself, with a smile only she would pull, "See, I can be anyone I want."
His voice copying was perfect, too.

He then shifted back into himself and laughed, before putting on a pained expression and sighing as he seemed to clutch at his heart area, or what would've been it if his heart was on the right side. He was clutching where his stone was truly located, since the symbol on his arm was actually a shifted diversion.
"Yeah... you've jut got to die first..." He muttered sourly, before pulling his happy mask back on full force and grinning widely, "Bah, well, I'm tired -I'm a half-breed, so I need sleep- so you can either sleep with me or on the couch, your choice!"
He then shifted into a pair of black boxers and lipped under the covers of the duble bed with a happy sigh.
