Revel blushed brightly, still in complete awe. There were less people here than she expected, and it made the room bigger by comparison. She was suddenly glad Ama wasn't here, these dogs would terrify her.

"Go ahead, eat drink." Yuan grinned. "And the table is only this big because I often have several clan chiefs over for a meala t time."

Revel blinked, "Oh.. right.. Ming.." she concluded, then took a seat slowly, looking over at Yuan, she felt awkward, not sure if she was supposed to wait for him to start since he was the emperor or something like that.

"Not just Ming. Each clan has achief that then reports problems and the like to me." Yuan stated, putting some of the food set out on platters onto his plate. His advisors were already eating. Yuan handed Jun, now sitting on the table, a strawberry to munch. A cook came form the kitchen and put bowls of rice on the floor for the big grey dogs.

Rev el nodded, crossing her ankles and tilting her head, "So... the cooksdo more than just cook?" She smiled at Jun and looked at the advisors curiously.

"Yup. They take care of animals in their imediate vacinity like the dogs and most of them have medical training." Yuan answered as a little servant girl walked in.

"Your highness?" she asked with a bow.

"Yes, what is it?" Yuan answered.

"Your cousin, chief Chin here to see you." the little servant answered.

"Would you mind if I left for a sacend to deal with him, Revel?" Yuan asked in a tired voice.

Revel shook her head, "No, not at all" She had a soft and playful grin, continuing. "Yuan, Domino..." She rested her chin on her hand.

"Thank you." Yuan nodded and rose from his chair. though he didn't dress as lavishly as past emperors, when he exited the room it was in a very dignified, elegant way that spoke of his royalty.

As soon as Yuan was gone, all of his advisers turned to look at Revel. Their eyes were scrutinizing.

Revel shifted uncomfortably and closed her eyes, as if the world would disappear with her sight. "Si ego can non animadverto lemma they es non illic.." She whispered, her hand clenching to the hem of her shorts.

Finally, one of the men made a snorting sound and laughed. "She's a scared little pipsqueak of a girl. I don't see what his highness sees in her." the man scoffed.

"Couldn't have put it better myself. Really, his highness should take back the tradition of multiple wives his family so dislikes." another snorted.

"Or at least someone of more caliber, like Miss Lian." said a third.

Revel looked up and glared darkly at the men, "I don't care what you think of me. I would defend Domino Yao to the end of my life." She clenched her fists, her crimson eyes aglow, "Hate me if you wish, but you h=guys have no idea what We've been through and noone can understand him then one of his ownn." she whispered harshly, almost cooly.

"Oh, then are you like him? One of the walking dead?" the first man asked in an icy tone as Yuan walked in. His face at first shocked, became a conposed mask.

"Lao. What was that?" Yuan asked in a tone conveying pure rage that did not show on his face.

"Er, well, you see you high-" the man was cut off. Yuan, with his quick speed, had rushed forward, sword drawn, and cut the man's head off.

"Shu`, fetch someservants to clean this up and remove Lao." Yuan stated, turning to glare at another advisor who scurried off to do as he was told.

Revel looked at Yuan, he seemed angry, but who could blame him. It was considered... treason correct? She looked over and rested her chin in her palms, "Jeez Yuan, show off much." she teased, attempting to soften the atmosphere.

"Sorry about that Revel, had to be done." Yuan sighed. He grabbed a corner of his shirt and used it to wipe the blade of his sword before placing it away in the sheath strapped to his back. He eyed Lao's plate of food and placed it on the floor, the grey dogs early coming over to eat it. Yuan sighed and flopped down in his chair. "First annoying Chief Chin and now this." he sighed. "Ruling a country gives one such a headache."

Revel wrinkled her nose, like a rabbit and smiled, "Oh? I'd think you have the head for it." She laughed sheepishly again. The first time she ever had made an actual joke. She frowned, "I'm sorry that was in bad taste." She paused a moment and started giggling again, attempting to cover it with her hand.

"Oh, I'm sure i do. But you try dealing with these brainless people." he said, not really good at jokes. He sighed and leaned back in his chair, now looking at the family painting -from when his original was three- upside down.

Revel got up from her seat and looked down at him curiously. She felt bad that she couldn't help so she ran a hand through his bangs in a comforting sort of way, "I know it's gotta be hard, but fate has it that you lead.. besides I'm sure you're probably doing a great job!" She smiled reassuringly. "Just relax a bit.. getting stressed doesn't calm your nerves.

"I suppose you're right." Yuan sighed as servants entered, two removing the dead body, another three scrubbing the blood on the floor.

"I'm not very hungry." Yuan stood up, earning a reproachful look from one of the cleaning servants.

"Your highness, you're skin and bones, so much taller than your sister and barely weighing more than her. Eat!" the servant said sharply.

"i don't think i shall." Yuan glared and made for the door. "Oh, my apoligies. Are you hungry Revel?"

Revel looked at the food then back at Yuan, "No.. it's alright, I don't have a big stomach and I'm used to going weeks without food." She smiled, "I'd rather not cause you inconvenience, Meus cara." She looked at the advisors warily, then turned and kissed Yuan's cheek, "I'll follow wherever it is you want to go."

Yuan grinned and placed an arm around Revel's waist. the advisors looked on disaprovingly. A servant handed Yuan a small basket with fruit and a piece of meat. "Right, for Ai and the birds." Yuan nodded and scooped Jun up off the table before throwing the doors open and leaving the room.

"Come on." Yuan led the way back to his rooms, stopping in the sitting room to feed the tropical birds pieces of fruit and th python a large piece of meat. The python seemed pleased with this offering of food.

Revel smiled at the colors. "It's so lovely. Jeez Yuan, I'm so jealous!" She whined. She was trying to get that smile from Yuan. The smile she loved so much.
