Xan was secretly wondering how Reita was back, but he forced his thoughts into the back of his mind for the time being.

Well, when you've just poisoned someone close to me, then yes, this is the proper way to treat you. What sort of madness are you up to this time? And for the record, you had very little if anything to do with my ascension to power. I gained that through genius and fortune.

Reita laughed at Xan's comment maniacally, and then blew a puff of smoke into the air. He sighed slightly and then wondered what he did to Revel.

"Sure, think what you want, child. Anyways, if you don't mind, i'd like Revel back."

Xan did not like how Reita was treating him, like some child. He was as sure as hell not going to simply give Revel back!

Sorry Reita, the girl stays with me until I get some answers. She can't teleport out, and you can't get in, so I propose that you start talking. First off, why are you doing this?

Before Reita could answer, Xan started to whistle. A tuneless song with a dark melody. How perfect for the set of emotions that he was feeling.

Reita simply yawned and snapped his fingers, interrupting the melody with his own whistles. His tune was a little bit more joyous, and matched the raining cherry blossom petals that fell from the sky, mixed with rose petals. Wait a minute... cherry blossoms and rose petals? This wasn't going to turn out so good...

"Come on Xan..."

Suddenly, the cherry blossoms exploded along with the roses. Reita sat there, simply smiling, knowing this wouldn't harm Xan at all, but hey, it did create a distraction long enough. Reita was nowhere to be seen, and danger was waiting for Xan. Or was it? Reita's voice was whispering in Revel's ear, summoning her, telling her, forcing her, to come back to him.

Xan appeared on top of another building, completely unharmed and smiling, in a flash of silver-white light.

He still didn't know what was happening, but suddenly he had remembered something. Although, it probably wasn't anything to smile about, he had remembered quite a few secrets and things to do.

Sighing, he disappeared and reappeared inside of the realm of light.

Revel, are you alive in here?

When Reita saw Xan disappear into the other realm, he made his voice whisper into Revel's ear, making her follow his commands as if she was a puppet.

"Do not socialize with him. Demand that he let you go, or else Yao will be sleeping... permanently."

[Revel Yao]

Revel was screaming in agony, Reita's voice floating in and out of her ears like a tormenting wisp of wind. It was even more tormenting than usual. He was calling her and she couldn't return and that pain was stacked ontop. She knew he only wanted to hear her screams of agony. Her lip dripped with blood as she tried to hold it together. Her heart thudded, shadows dancing around her and almost shielding her from the light.

Xan no longer felt the need to protect Revel from her pain. At least, not as much. Diligence was a Virtue, why should he feel overprotective of a sin? Especially given the circumstances.

I wonder, what will it take for you to stop all of this bloody screaming?

Xan had a plan, and though it was kind of cruel, he wanted information, and that was final.

(Basically, the process of Xan and Diligence becoming one entity is complete. Xan is still Xan, but he doesn't feel as emotional as before. And because Revel is a Sin, Diligence doesn't really feel favor for her. It probably doesn't make much sense, but now Xan is fully a Homunculus on the inside. Or rather, he's finally used to it, so his emotions have calmed down.)

[Revel Yao]

Revel glared at him with cold venom, "Let me out now." she said in a threatening, almost unhuman voice. Well she wasn't human, but Yuan's life was on the line now and that meant noone else mattered to her. "LET ME THE FUCK OUT NOW OR I SWEAR I'LL RIP OFF YOUR TOENAILS ONE BY ONE AND SHOVE THEM DOWN YOUR GODDAMN THROAT." the dark swirls of black around her blazed into a darker flame, spinning around ominously. Revel was no longer in control.

Xan returned the cold glare with one of his own.

Fool, you are no match for me, now be still and listen. I have some questions for you and I won't let you out until you answer them. Got it?

Xan did not fear Revel, not even if she was in a possessed by darkness kind of state. He would have answers, or one of them would die, it was as simple as that.

Takegami listened to Revel scream, and slid his hand onto his lower area. He fell against the wall, moaning slightly in ecstasy, touching his chest and picturing her anger. He quicklly pulled out his blade and stabbed himself in the side, screaming in ecstasy.

"It is complete..."

[Revel Yao]

Revel shook with rage, her voice twisted slightly by the dark possession. "My lips are sealed so.. until you let me out.." She stared at him and began to scream in a blood-curdeling way.

Xan smiled, and it was a cold smile, devoid of any of the warmth that would normally have been there.

You seem to forget exactly where you are, girl. Tell me, what do you think that you're doing?

[Revel Yao]

Revel glared atthe man coldly back. "You might as well just kill me, because I'm not letting you know a damn thing." She giggled sickly her blood-red eyes resting on him as if he was simply a piece of meat on the market. She licked her lips and grinned sadistically, "Ohh but if you do, make sure it's slow and painful.." she seemed to moan. It was almost like she was possessed by Reita himself.

Takegami told her to stop screaming, and to simply stand. Suddenly, he closed his eyes, and he could see through Revel's eyes. He controlled her voice, her mind, her body, she was now his puppet.

"Xan, let her go, or else there will be hell to pay for Cibola, and countless members of the Illuminati."

This was no idle threat that Takegami made through Revel, and to make sure Xan knew that this was Takegami speaking, her eyes turned a lustful azure color.

Xan simply gave Takegami a grin through Revel.

If one civilian of Cibola or a member of the Illuminati dies by your hand, I will kill both your wife, and your offspring. Now, enough with your threats. As you can see, people are talking here.

This was no idle threat, and Take would know it. The citizens were a simple means to an end for Xan, but they weren't all that necessary. He had a soft spot for them, courtesy of his good nature, but that would not become a weakness to be exploited by the likes of Reita, nor Takegami.

Takegami, still talking through Revel, simply laughed maniacally. Kill his wife? He didn't care about her, for his trust in her was still very low, while his off spring were well protected, and not even Xan would be able to touch them. He simply let it be known by making Revel reach into her pocket and pull out a cell phone. She dialed a number, and a deep voice answered, saying 'All hail Eiken Emperor...'

"Xan, you have thirty seconds, now let her go, or Cibola will be no more. Your smart enough to know that it would be wasteful to risk an entire nation for one girl, don't be foolish."

Xan pretended to think for a while. All of Cibola for Revel. How interesting, especially considering that they were just about equal in value.

How's this Take or Reita, or whichever you are: You answer for me one small question, I release the girl, and none of this ever happened? I won't even make it a difficult question, nor will it be one that's too revealing. Do we have a deal?

In complete honesty, Xan didn't really care for what Take did. People were replaceable, but Revel, she would not be easy to replace at all. And they both knew that Xan could just as easily leave her here to rot for eternity as let her go free and cause mischief.

Takegami knew what Xan was thinking and had to make a bigger bargaining chip. If the question was too much, then he would have to kill Xan, however, if it was simple, he'd just answer it simply, without much detail.

"Fine. Ask away."

[Guest]

Xan thought about what to ask. Really, did it matter which of the three questions that he asked? He already knew the answers to most of them anyway. This was more for Xan's amusement than it was for Revel's safety at this point.

Is Revel really that important to you?

A simple question, and hopefully it would have a simple answer. Xan didn't really care for the answer, but he wanted to see something.

Takegami pondered the question for a moment when he suddenly appeared next to Revel. However, this wasn't the real him but more of an energy made him in which he used Revel's mind to create.

"No..."

[Guest]

Xan shrugged, then used his powers to create chains that bound Revel to where she was and kept her from moving. Next, Xan walked up and kissed Revel one last time.

I fear that this is the last time that we'll be seeing each other without being at each other's throats, so I wanted to make it a semi pleasant ending. Goodbye, Extravagance.

With that, Xan released the chains. Suddenly, the entire realm shattered all around them and they were back in reality.

As you can see Reita, I am a man of my word. One question, one answer, and one female back by your side. Whatever you want with her, she's your now. I have no desire for her. Come and claim your prize!

Xan waited for either Reita to reveal himself, or for Revel to teleport to him.

[Revel Yao]

Revel stood, having instantly snapped back, dazed and confused. Her whole body extremely weak. "I.. feel dizzy..." she whimpered and fell to the ground suddenly, completely unconscious.

Takegami appeared next to Revel and began spitting trying not to throw up. He shot Xan a dirty look and then tried to speak without barfing.

"You disgusting bastard, couldn't you of waited for me to atleast leave her body. I got the effect of that kiss, you sick... wait, at each others throats? I knew you couldn't be trusted, you bastard..."

Revel curled up in a small ball against Take in her sleep, once again the fragile little girl most loved and knew her.
