The Date (Me and Kiri)

Tobi knocked on the door to Kiri's dorm, swallowing. It was 7:00 on the spot. He had gotten off work an hour ago, after a while of being yelled at, run home and showered, then came up here to pick up Kiri for their date. Well, sort of a date. She'd only agreed to come out of guilt, he reminded himself with a sigh.

Kiri blinked and got up, walking to the door, she nervously straightened out her skirt (mini XD) and dressy top, fixing her shoes uncomfortably. It was a pity datre... so why did she dress so nicely? She opened the door and gave Toi a soft smile.

Tobi smiled back at her. "You look...great," He said. He wore a button-down blue shirt with black pants and, for once in his life, a tie.

Kiri stared at him and frowned, "Lose the tie."

[Guest]

Tobi sighed, relieved. "Oh, thank God," He said, practically ripping the thing off and throwing it onto the floor. He took deep breath. "I can breath again!"

Kiri let out a soft giggle and shook her head, "Honestly no need to dress so formally." She paused and grinned, "Besides, if you wanted to dress like that you're missing the flowers and chocolates." She laughed and turned, shutting the door behind her and locking it. Her dogs were sleeping and the cat was lazing in the window. She had a lot of pets... but they were normal and usually abandoned.

Tobi shrugged. "Didn't want to seem cliche," He said with a chuckle.

Kiri laughed and stuck out her tongue "Pfft excuses!"

"Fine, I was broke," Tobi said, laughing, "Happy now?"

Kiri mock frowned, "Oh dear Gd no. Since when am I ever happy, Mr. Mustang..?" She turned and smiled playfully at him, showing she was teasing.

Tobi laughed. "I knew it!" He said, playfully shoving her, "We'd better hurry up, this is worse than I thought!" Grinning, he grabbed her arm and more or less dragged her out to the car. "C'mon, Major Hawkeye! We need to get you to the restaurant!"

Kiri let out a gasp of mock fear, "Yes yes! I am in dire need of some resturaunt therapy!"

Tobi laughed and opened the passenger's side door for her. "Yes! If we don't hurry, who knows what could happen?!?"

Kiri laughed and ducked into the car, crossing her ankles daintily as she pulled on her seatbelt. She had no response to that, but Tobi's smile made her.. smile? Feel good? There were so many different feelings flooding her body. She blocked them from his sight though, afraid of what he might find.

Tobi climbed into the drivers seat and pulled on his own seat belt. He glanced over at Kiri from the corner of his eye. "You sure you want to ride in the car with me driving?" He asked with a chuckle.

Kiri pondered this for a minute and grinned, rummaging through her purse bringing out a brown paper bag and blowing into it, stretching it out from the fold. She then grabbed the handle on the top of the window an dlooked serios, hoping he'd know she was teasing, "Okay I'm ready..."

Tobi laughed. "Oh, come on! I'm not that bad of a driver! I passed my test on the sixth try, thank you very much."

Kiri pretended to look panic, "Six tries? Aww man.. hold on.. I'm gonna need my blindfold too!" She teased, grinning.

"In my defense, the driving teacher was very distracting with all his screaming!" Tobi said, shaking his head.

[Guest]

Kiri leaned over and kissed Mustang on the cheek. It was just an urge. "Please don't kill me.. I'm too young to die." She giggled.

Tobi grinned. "I won't kill you. Or, I'll try not to."

[Guest]

Kiri let out a sigh and smiled, "That's a relief. Well let's getgoing."

[Guest]

Tobi nodded and started the car and started driving. He was going pretty fast, but he was a good enough driver.

Kiri smiled, she was impressed! Well she had never driven before herself, but she half exspected him to practically kill them. She smiled approvingly and simply relaxed, watching images fly past through the window.

"Told you I wouldn't get us killed!" Tobi said triumphantly, eyes darting quickly from the road to Kiri and then back to the road.
