Re: Slacking off Again
Kiri picked them up and smiled, "Nice..." She put them down and spun Black Cat, then reholtered it." It was weird talking to someone about guns, especially when you're a girl, but then again, this was the military.

Re: Slacking off Again
Salus holstered his guns after Kiri looked at them. " talking to a girl about guns huh? I think that is even nicer for a woman like yourself to appreciate the quality of a good firearm." Salus was indeed impressed by Kiri's gun, and by her that he smiled. "well better get some food, huh?"

Kiri stood and smiled, "Of course." She waited for him to stand, as was common curtesy. "Shall we go?" She asked in a playful manner.

"We shall.after you" Salus said standing and waiting for Kiri to take the lead, mostly so he could look at her from behind, but also becuse he was trying to be a gentleman.

Kiri giggled and nodded, then walked into the lunchline. It kind of made her feel like a school student again. Waiting in line for a meal that would taste awful. She grabbed a salad and a few packets of french dressing.

Salus followed behind he casually examining her from the back. He grabbed a tray and pulled a bottle of water out of the cooler behind them. he grabbed a cup or soup, or what he thought was soup, and some crackers. "Well they say you have to be brave to be in the military, but I think that is just because of the food." Sal said laughing.

Re: Slacking off Again
Salus smile as he watched Kiri bite into her tomato. He was enjoying himself, perhaps more then he would admit. He began to sip his soup, then crushed crackers into it. "Ahh.." He screamed. "Soup too Hot!" Salus managed to shout as he sprang from his seat, tears began to run down his eyes as he flailed around.

Re: Slacking off Again
Kiri nodded and smothere her salad in french dressing. She enjoyed the dressing more than the salad, so it looked like a weird orangey-red blob when she finished seasoning it. Stabbing her fork in, she took a bite and smiled.

Re: Slacking off Again
Salus laughed as he watched Kiri smother her salad. It was indeed very blob like, the orange drowned salad, almost gave it the look a bloody peice of meat. Salus laughed again as Kiri placed a mouthful of salad in her mouth. He picked up a napkin, "Umm.you got a little dressing on your cheek." Salus reached over a wiped her cheek laughing.

Re: Slacking off Again
Kiri blushed, slightly embaressed from her messy eating habits. She gave a sheepish smile as she swallowed her french dressing with a hint of salad, "Thanks."

Re: Slacking off Again
"You are welcome." Salus said as he smiled. He was brave enough to try his soup again, but he would crush the crackers into it. He dipped his spoon into the soup and slowly took a sip. "Not good, not horibble, but not good either." Salus said as he finished his taste of the soup. He openned his bottle of water and took a drink.

Re: Slacking off Again
Kiri laughed lightly, "Well you know at least you haven't mutated or something." she teased as she took another bite of her blob

Re: Slacking off Again
"That is true, but who knows give the soup a couple of hours I am sure there is a distinct possibility that I might mutate." Salus says making a terrible face, and then laughing

Salus laughed he was enjoying their lunch. The conversation was much better than the food. Salus flicked his watch open checking the time. "Wow it has gotten really late. Time just kinda flew by." Salus finished his soup.

Re: Slacking off Again
Kiri blinked and looked at her own watch. He was right, it was late. "Wow.. I guess you're right.." she frowned. She didn't want the time to end, it was hard for her to say good-bye to anyone.

Re: Slacking off Again
Salus didn't want the conversation to end either, but he knew the higher -ups would have his head if he didn't get some paperwork done. Afterall, he was already about three days late on a variety of reports. "Well, this was fun Major. We should do it again sometime. I hate to have to leave, but duty calls, and by duty I mean the mountain of paperwork I have put off for about a week. Did I mention I hate paperwork." Salus said with a smile as he stoop up from his chair. He looked around to see if anyone was around. He etched a transmutation circle on the table and in a flash his empty bowl morphed into a beautiful rose sculpture. "For you, my friend." He said as he held out the flower.
