"I was planning too..For Matthias's sake."She said smiling. Ilona had no doubts whatsoever anymore. With Takegami beside her, she was sure that she will be fine..

Takegami kissed her lightly and then looked back at Elizabeth and apologized for stealing Ilona away. He then walked over to Xan, and sat down beside him, speaking lowly so that only Xan could hear him.

"Xan, i want you to order a twenty four hour guard to be placed on Ilona and my son for the two weeks we are in Sekigahara..."

Xan whispered back to Take that he would have only his most elite guards protecting Ilona and Matthias, and that any who dared to approach them uninvited would perish.

Then, Xan stood up, excused himself from the room, and went outside to make the calls necessary.

Ilona watched them whisper to eachothering what they are talking about. She then talked to her mother about arrangements for travel, a longer leave from the military and etc etc. Ilona then walked off alone with Matthias, heading towards the kitchen to get abit of breakfast.

Takegami suddenly felt his cell phone ring, and answered it within seconds. His face became concerned, and he slendered his eyes. He mumbled slightly, and then sighed slightly. He stood up and walked over to Ilona, and looked around for Xan.

"Change of plans, we leave tommorow. Have your maids pack your things..."

"Huh? Tomorrow..? Why?"Ilona did not look up as she made herself breakfast and served Matthias first with a bottle of warm milk. Then seeing that Matthias is content, Ilona then looked up Takegami's face with her usual questioning look.

Takegami sighed, and leaned against the stove. He tried to figure out how to explain the situation, but couldn't find any way for it to sound safe.

"Drachma, isn't safe anymore. The eruption of war between the nations is inevitable now. Drachma will surely become the home of mercenaries, which puts you and Matthias in trouble."

She then showed a flicker of fear. War? Then I guess I really do have to leave now..She shurgged and tried to smile.
"I guess we have to pack our bags huh?"

Takegami nodded slightly, and then sighed, seeing her unhappiness. He wished he could change the situation, but avoiding this war was inevitable.

"Yea, i'm afraid so."

She sighed and sat on the nearest chair, obviously tired from yesterday and dozed off. Childbearing, war and so forth and so on was enough to make a first time mother tired. Ilona knew she wouldn't wake up for awhile....

Xan appeared next to Take in a flash of dim white light, not wanting to awaken Ilona. He had heard Take saying that the family would be leaving tomorrow and had heard why. Suddenly, his entire attitude changed a little bit to a more serious one.

Take-san, my elite guard is on its way and will be here by the time that you are ready to leave with a transport to take you to your ship. Is there anything else that you require?

Takegami shook his head and placed a hand on Xan's shoulder. His face carried a more serious expression, and his lustful azure eyes seemed to carry a cold expression. He too had summoned his elites to watch over her as to aid Xan's men. He pulled himself off of the counter, and sighed slightly, hating to be dragged in battle so early.

"Xan, i'm trusting you, so don't betray me. You and a few others are all i feel i can trust anymore, don't make me regret trusting you."

He walked over to the table and grabbed a toothpick, popping it in his mouth. He could only hope that nonthing bad happened.

Xan brought out a hidden blade, showing it to Take.

You can trust me, Take. I swear that any man who dares to come after your family will have this blade in their neck before they can get within seeing distance. That is, if our men don't do the same thing first.

Xan then sheathed his hidden blade and walked a few feet away, making one more call. He wanted to have all angles covered for this kind of thing.

Takegami spoke with the maids, and had them pack their things, while he sat on the table, still thinking. This situation had to be cared for cautiously, for anything could happen. Being the genius he is, Takegami worked out diffrent possibilities and certainties to the best of his abilities, hoping he covered everything down to the last breath.

"We should leave tonight, this way we'll atleast have the darkness to cover our trail, and stay hidden to avoid any trouble."

Ilona's mother walked in and seeing that Ilona had fallen asleep, had gestured the servants to take her back to her room along with Matthias, who had long slept and his hunger satisfied.
Many thoughts ran through her head like an active beehive: War? Why? Empress, me? I just wanted to..God this is complicated...Someone answer me..

Xan thought to himself for a moment, then shrugged.

Okay, we can leave as soon as you want. The guard should be here pretty soon. My last call was for them to march double time, and they're bringing a vehicle transport.

Xan silently praised heaven for the fact that there was going to be a full moon tonight. It would make his life so much easier.

Takegami nodded slightly before there was a knock on the door. A servant answered, and in walked four men, each seeming to carry no weapon,and wearing a long black cloak. Takegami looked back to see them, and they bowed, knowing their respectful place to their emperor. His azure eyes returned their gaze to Xan, and he sighed.

"It's almost time, old friend..."

Ilona woke up and found that all her clothing was packed. The servant imforned her that she is leaving tonight and that caused Ilona to give out a sigh. Seeing that she hasn't washed, Ilona decided to take herself and Matthias a bath..
She watched Matthias splashing about in the water while trying to wash him.
"Hey little man, you;re making this harder for me than it is for you..."

Xan relaxed himself, he was getting tensed up over nothing. Right?

What he needed was some cool air.



Take-san, I'm headed to the roof for a better view of the surroundings. Call me when it is time to leave.

With that, Xan disappeared in a flash of white light and appeared on the roof a few seconds later in another flash.

Sitting down, he looked around in a circle at what was happening around him.

Ilona finished bathing and started dressing Matthias in snug clothing, hoping he doesn't get cold. Ilona then gave him a pacifier seeing that is going to sleep again. Boy he sleeps alot, I guess thats a good thing..
She then dressed herself in a black dress with a leather cloak with a bear fur rim around the hood. As she laced on her boots she started to think about her uncertain future...

Takegami walked to the bathroom door, and stood in the doorway, leaning against the wall, smiling warmly. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight of his son trying to wash himself at such a young age, and made sure to remember a moment like this for his entire life. He walked away after she started dressing him, and went outside to grab some fresh air. The snow became heavier, and it seemed more like a blizzard. He took a breath of fresh air in, and sighed slightly, uncertain about what was to come...

She carried her sleeping son, making sure he was nice and warm and walked to Takegami. The cloak with the bear fur gave her an air of mystery and allure and who could resist? Ilona gave Takegami a reasurring look and leaned on his shoulder...

Xan stayed on the roof, not feeling any of the cold, and wondered what a full fledged war between Eikyuu Gaka, Cibola, Aerugo, Creta, and Amestris would be like. What ever happened, Xan intended to be ready for it, and he intended to see Cibola and Eikyuu Gaka triumphant, no matter what.

Takegami looked over at Ilona, and smiled warmly upon the sight of Matthias and herself. He sighed happily, and snapped his fingers, signaling for Xan to know he was ready to go. His elite guards walked out, each carrying a piece of his old samurai armor. He looked at it, knowing that war was not far away, and nodded slightly. He kissed Ilona on the forehead, along with Matthias, and walked back into the house with the armor piled up in his hands.

Xan heard the finger snap, and sighed to himself.

Well, that was quick, wasn't it?

Xan disappeared off of the roof and reappeared next to Takegami, both in flashes of white light.

Well, you guys wasted no time in getting prepared, did you? Alright, I'm ready whenever you are.
