Playing in the Snow (Me and Ming)

Tobi trudged happily through the snow. Best mission ever! He decided. He loved the snow! Smiling, he kicked a big pile of snow into the air. Yeah, he was a bit odd, but what could he say? They'd never had snow like this in Dublith when he'd grown up!

"Woah, this is cold!" Ming said, trudging through the snow with a calf length coat over her minidress. "Is this snow? I've never seen snow. Xing doesn't get very much, if any."

((Please don't mention anything to Ming about Yuan ruling Xing, it's going to be part of her traumatic experience to become a level 3 humunculus.))

Hearing a girl, Tobi turned around to see Ming. He remembered her from Central. He grinned at her. "Snow rocks, eh?"

"Yeah it does, but it's kind of cold." Ming said, taking off her boot and dumping snow and water out of it. Her bare foot touched the snow. "AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! That's cold!" She shouted, hopping up and down on one foot. Xiaobo popped out of her backpack and, seeing his chance, dropped to the ground and tripped her from behind. Ming, caught off balance, fell backwards into a huge snow drift.

Walking up to her, Tobi chuckled. "Yeah, it's cold. Not meant for bare skin." He offered her a hand to help her up.

Taking Tobi's hand, Ming stood up. She put her boot on, and quickly emptied the other boot of snow and water. "Thanks. So, how have you been? As you can see, Xiaobo is still as trouble causing as ever."

Tobi grinned at Xiaobo. "Nice to see you both again," He commented. Looking out at the snow, he smiled. "It's been, y'know. As good as things can be without being good, I guess." He shrugged, not sure how to explain it.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. If it weren't for Xiaobo here, though, I'd be bored to death. He's just that odd."
Ming picked up Xiaobo and fed him a small square of chocolate. "Do you want some?" Ming asked, holding a chocolate bar out to Tobi.

Tobi smiled and nodded. taking a piece. While chewing, he said, "I know wha ya mean. It ca get bowing," He swallowed, "If you have no one to talk to."

"Yeah. Luckily, Xiaobo understands Xingese. Do you want to ask or tell him something? 'Cause I can translate for you." Xiaobo swiped the rest of the chocolate bar out of her hand, padded a little ways away, and scarfed it down.

Tobi chuckled. "What am I supposed to say to him?"

"I don't know, just tell me what you want to say, I'll translate, he'll answer, and I'll tell you what he said. Unless you want to ask him yourself. Then I'll just tell you what to say."

Tobi shrugged. "Thanks for the chocolate?"

"Ok. Just tell him 'Xiè tì kè.'" Ming said to Tobi. Xiaobo padded slowly back and jumped on top of Ming's head, in his signature position: draped, with his paws dangling in her face.

Wrinkling his forehead, Tobi stumbled through the sentence. "'Xiè tì kè?" He said, sure he'd pronounced it wrong.

"Good job!" Ming said before looking up at Xiaobo. "And what do you say?" She prompted. "Bù nán." Xiaobo mewed. "Good boy. He says no problem."

Tobi grinned, patting Xiaobo on the head.

Xiaobo, wanting to pretend he was taller, hopped up onto Tobi's head and lay down. Tentatively, he put his paws in Tobi's face, unsure of what his reaction would be. "Xiaobo, if Tobi doesn't want you up on his head, you have to come down, ok?" Ming said, looking up to speak to Xiaobo.

((How tall is Tobi? Ming is 5'2".))

Tobi sighed. "He's fine," He said, smiling slightly.

(OoC: Tobi is a little over 6 feet.)

"Alright. But as soon as you don't want him up there, let him know. He'll get down." Ming bent down and picked up a handful of snow and began munching on it. It melted in her mouth, and trickled down her throat before she swallowed.

((le gasp! Ming's so short! Wait, how old is Tobi?))

Tobi nodded. He gave her an odd look as she ate the snow. "Uh...I hope you don't mind me asking but...do you eat everything?"

(OoC: Tobi is 17, almost 18.)

"Well, yeah. Pretty much. I don't really think about it." Ming stopped eating the snow.

((Ming is 17 as well. She and Yuan will be 18 in November. God, she's short!!!))

Tobi wrinkled his forehead. "Do you just...get hungry?"

"Um, yeah. I do, and I don't really think. I just eat without thinking. I know, it's wierd. I mean, you don't, do you?"
