Xan appeared in his dimension.

Sorry Father, you aren't going to Hell today.

Xan was talking while laughing.

Here I am again, offering you a chance to live. Or are you that intent to die? I am Diligence, Ilona is Mother, you are Father, I guess that it's kind of ironic what can be learned through a trip to a sewer huh?

Xan changed the scenery around them. Suddenly, it was an image of Eikyuu Gaka.

Now then, here we can talk in relative calm. I like your island, by the way.

Takegami slowly struggled to his feet. He didn't understand why Xan would bring him back, but he was tired of complaining. He simply went with it, seeing as how he would probably bleed to... damn those homunculus powers. His wound healed itself ompletly right after the sword was out of the wound. He sighed, still feeling some pain from where the wound was, and leaned against a tree.

"What are you doing? Better yet, why are you doing this? Your a virtue, my enemy, remember?"

Xan laughed, this time almost falling to his knees.

I save your life, and you question it? I love how the day has gone, don't you Takegami? We've gone from partners in battle, to enemies, to being Father and Son in a way, and now we're here, with you questioning my decision to keep you alive.

Xan stopped laughing so that he could breathe and answer Take's questions.

If you really must know, it's because I told you that I was your ally and I meant it. I thought that preserving you would finally prove that to you. Besides, it seems that I made the right choices today. You're a changed man. Now, will I take credit for all of it or say that I predicted it somehow? Hell no. Although, I might have some other reasons as well. Hmmmmmm....Tell me, do you love Ilona? Do you love your son?

Xan knew that the questions were a little random, but he was kind of curious.

Takegami looked down at the ground when Xan asked about Ilona. He hated to admit it, but he still loved her. He knew she hated him, and knew she'd refuse to give it a chance. He simply shook his head and looked over at a river.

"No, i don't..."

Ilona went back to her room, walking from the sewers back to headquarters. Obviously she had a good wash, a good excuse and explaination and all bandaged up now. All she need to do now is to make a phone call to Drachma...

Xan wasted no time in telling Take his thoughts.

Take, that is a lie from the ninth level of Hell. You still love her, it's clear on your face. And guess what? She still loves you! She doesn't hate you. I swear, you two are hopeless.

Xan switched the image again, this time taking them to a hospital, and on a bed was Ilona, in mid childbirth.

Take, this is an image that Truth showed me. Ilona giving birth. Ah, the miracle of life is amazing isn't it? It takes two to conceive a child, and it also takes two to raise one perfectly. As much as Ilona would scream the contrary, on the inside she knows this is the truth. And so do you.

Xan switched the image away just before the baby came out. (shudder)

Now they were back on Take's island.

What are you thinking about, Father?

"Mother..?"If her family were to allow their back into her arms, Ilona would gladly stay. Ilona would gladly give up her pride to be in peace with her son...That's what he would have wanted...
"Please..I need a place to stay.."

[Guest]

Takegami shook his head, and sighed miserably. As much as Xan was right, it wasn't going to happen. He's seen the fear he strikes in Ilona's eyes, the hatred he'd put in her heart, he didn't stand a chance. He just simply yawned slightly, and pretended as if he didn't care about Ilona and the child.

"I don't want her, and even if i did, she still wouldn't take me. I'm not sane enough to be around her child."

Ilona hung up. She found out that her father died years ago and her mother let her stay as her mother missed her only child. First thing she is going to do is to apologize for everything...
With approval of the military, Ilona started packing her things, including spare blood bags, her photo's of her and Takegami and wore Takegami's wedding ring next to hers.
Ilona, wearing a black winter coat, took one last look at central before heading off to the train station...

Xan's lips twitched. This man truly was of the stubborn variety, there was no doubt about it.


Take, maybe I should reveal that it's impossible to lie to me in this dimension. And while you speak of insanity, didn't you just banish that nut case Reita into the darkest part of your mind, never to be seen again?

Xan was kind of enjoying this. Concentrating, he made the dimension move, in the form of a will-o-the-wisp. He sent the wisp into Quicksilver's claw and commanded the chimera to take the wisp to Ilona.

With a roar, the beast complied.

Alright Take, I don't know what to say to you in order to get you to believe me. And while I'm on the subject, do you trust me now?

Takegami sighed slightly, his trust slightly returning to Xan. Although, he still had alot of distrust towards the man, he simply nodded slightly.

"I suppose so..."

[Guest]

Ilona boarded the train heading to Drachma, fidgeting her wedding rings.
"I'm not sure if yoou want to be born in Drachma Matthias...But don't worry, we will come back to Amestris soon..."She said, placing her hand on her stomach..

[Guest]

Quicksilver caught up with the train and landed on top of it.

Well Takegami Teijirou, I at least want you two to agree on my little brother's name. If you don't, then so help me, I'm sending all three of you into the alternate dimension. Now, get to it!

Quicksilver threw the wisp into the train as Take was falling out of it. Xan had thrown Take out so that he landed right next to Ilona.

Then Xan stepped out and went to another seat that was behind the two. He was resisting a laugh.

Ilona did not know what was going on but then she saw Takegami, she let a scream of superise and then hugged him, not wanting to let go of him. Is this for real? Oh my god please tell me this isn't a dream, that I am just dozing off on the train...

Takegami fell into a seat upside down, but straightened himself up only to be hugged by Ilona. He didn't understand what was going on, but simply calmed down and hugged her back. He began to ask himself so many questions, but finally decided that he should start off with an easy one.

"It isn't a dream... where are you going?"

[Guest]

"To Drachma..My mother said I can stay until Matthias is born.."She said, her voice barely a whisper.
"You sure this isn't a dream...?"She rested her head on Takegami's shoulder, savouring this moment if it really was a dream..

[Guest]

When Takegami heard those words he felt his heart drop for some reason. He looked out the window sadly, but made sure to keep his voice in a happy tone.

"I'm positive this isn't a dream. It's real."

[Guest]

Xan was trying not to cry, this was so.....emotional to him.

Not wanting to interrupt, Xan stayed silent and watched.

[Guest]

She smiled, kissing his lips lightly.
"If it isn't, I'm glad for it..."She said, slipping his wedding ring back into it's rightful place..

[Guest]

Takegami kissed her back, and put on a happy face as to make the moment atleast be a happy one he can remember. He sighed slightly and leaned back in the seat.

"What are you going to name him again?"

[Guest]

"Matthias, after my father.."She leaned on Takegami's shoulder, relaxing.
"He died just a few months after I ran from home. His last words wish was that he wanted to see me again and apologize for everything..."

[Guest]

Takegami placed his hand on hers, and used his free hand to run it through her hair gently. He sighed sadly, feeling bad for her, and kissed her on the forehead.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

[Guest]

"At least I'll give my mother some peace.."With that she dozed off to sleep, dreaming of our son playing in the snows of Drachma.

Xan felt a tear slide down his cheek. Oh no, did Truth do what Xan thought he did?

Damn that shrewd son of a bitch! (Xan is chuckling while he's thinking this, he doesn't really care about what Truth did, but it was kind of surprising to him. Now it's kind of funny.) He made Xan more susceptible to his own emotions. He had made him truly....good. Oh well, it didn't matter, as long as Xan was still Xan. Or rather, Xan Cicatrice Diligenza.

So Take, tell me, was I right after all?

Xan whispered his words so that Ilona wouldn't wake up.

Takegami could faintly hear Reita's voice. Just as Xan had saw the gate and Truth, Takegami had saw Reita and the gate. Takegami wasn't 'Father' before, but now that he had made the exchange with Reita, he had no say in the matter. He simply shook his head, and continued to stroke Ilona's long, white hair.

"It's my fault Xan..."
